About Ruaab

Some words don't have an English translation.

Ruaab is one of them.

In Hindi and Urdu, when someone says "uski personality mein ruaab hai," they are not talking about looks. Not clothes, not money, not followers. They are talking about how a person carries themselves. Presence. Dignity. A quiet confidence that reaches the room before they speak.

One word. No translation. And no shortcut to it either — ruaab is only ever your own. Never bought, never borrowed, never performed. Some build it through work nobody watched. Some have simply carried it all along.

That word is why this brand exists.

I didn't begin with a business plan. I began with a fascination: here was a word for the most impressive thing a person can have — and it had nothing to do with anything they own. People often confuse ruaab with showing off. It is the opposite. Showing off needs an audience. Ruaab doesn't.

So why jewellery?

Because jewellery was never really decoration. Long before trends, people wore metal to say who they were — their identity, their milestones, their vows. A ring meant something. A kada meant something. Jewellery is the oldest way humans have marked who they've become, without saying a word.

That is what we make it for.

Not to turn you into someone. You already did that part — the degree, the first salary, the business, the hard year you got through. Our silver is real 925, made to be worn every day, by men and by women. It doesn't create your ruaab. It keeps it company.

Where it comes from

Most of what RUAAB sells, RUAAB did not make. You should know that before you buy, not after.

We are buyers first

About nine pieces in ten here are imported — sourced from the jewellery exhibitions and design houses where new collections are launched, and picked one by one. Designer, current, and deliberately not the same six things every other silver store is selling.

That is a choice, not a shortcut. Design moves quickly and taste moves quicker. No single workshop can keep pace with what people actually want to wear this year — so we don't pretend to be that workshop. We go and find the work instead, and we are hard to please on your behalf.

What we never outsource is the checking.

Every piece is opened before it is sold

Most silver sold online never passes through the hands of the person selling it. It moves from a supplier straight to a buyer, still in its packet. Imported or not, that is where trouble starts.

Here every lot arrives in Bikaner first and is opened piece by piece:

• the 925 stamp checked
• the weight put on the scale and matched against the listing
• every stone pressed to see if the setting moves
• every finish looked over for scratches and dents

What fails goes back. What passes goes online. That is the whole reason a weight and a certificate sit on every product page.

Some pieces we don't buy — we make

A small part of the store is ours from the first cut. The Rajwadi kadas are carved in Bikaner: four artisans, two to three days for one kada, every line cut by hand with a chisel, and the recesses darkened afterwards so the depth reads as depth instead of shine. It is why no two are identical.

Work from this workshop goes on to Jaipur, and further down the line the name on it becomes Jaipur's. We are taking that step out.

Both halves, stated plainly

Imported design. Bikaner judgement. We don't blur the two, and we don't dress one up as the other — every product page tells you where that piece came from, in its own words. If a piece was imported, it says so. If it was carved here, it says that instead.

The 925 is the part that never changes. Stamped, certified, and checked in Bikaner either way.
